this is it
i have a boner and i am dead
I drew Plastic Man and Woozy in winter gear and my buddy Robert exclaimed “Plas and Woozy are snowy!” which I heard as “Plas and Woozy and Snowy!” like the dog from Tintin. So Woozy finding Snowy happened.
Looks like I was right. I guess Geoff Johns is just going to overlook that continuity error…comics, right?
I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO FEEL RIGHT NOW
A guy named Eel playing with a rubber band? This has to be Plastic Man’s origin.
It’s a continuity error, though, because Plastic Man made a brief cameo in Justice League International #1.
OH MY GOD/??
The best place to start is at the beginning, with the original Jack Cole comics! They were featured in Police Comics, and then he moved onto his own self-titled book. You can see (almost) all of them here: digitalcomicmuseum.com
A lot of modern writers like to portray Plas as a sleaze and a pervert. Disregard every picture or panel you see of him harassing women and/or becoming their clothes. It’s a really really gross fan joke that’s seeped into canon and I fucking hate it.
Also!!! The pilot and DC Nation shorts are incredible! Tom Kenny (Spongebob) is one of the producers and also the voice of Plas! (He also voices Plas in Brave and the Bold) Here’s the pilot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vn74McRwEg0
I’ve also got a roleplay blog with a links page: http://pliablepaladin.tumblr.com/links
Oh my god that was longer than I thought oops
I wanted to draw Plastic man, but we were watching Adventure Time so…
OH MY GODDDDDD
SHOWCASE PRESENTS: Where the hell is Plastic Man?
Editors Note: All editorials are solely the opinion of the author, and do not necessarily reflect…
if they end up making plas evil, that would negate the ENTIRE purpose of his origin story and overall character. flashpoint’s fine. that’s an alternate universe. they can do what they want there, but canon plas is a character that’s all about changing for the better. his origin story is one of hope and the inherent kindness of those around you, and turning him into a villain (or in this case, letting him stay one), in my opinion, would take away so much from the character and his story.
Did someone say Plastic Man? I did!
